EduApp: Book Creator App for iPad or Android

Writing for a purpose, or writing for an audience is a vital motivation for many, especially children. Completing the writing process and presenting something for all to see can really engage students. Now with many classrooms having access to tablets, that process can easily be achieved with Book Creator App for iPad or Android, which has long been one of our favourite apps that we suggest all teachers explore.

BookCreator3The App is packed with a great set of features, allowing budding authors to: add pictures; easily add, format and edit text; import video, music and speech; draw and write using a freehand tool; and Layout books exactly as you want it with guidelines and snap positioning. Once your best seller is complete, the publishing process is as easy, allowing you to export the e-book to iBooks or Google Play Books (depending on which tablet you are using), with the added option of exporting your book as a movie in the iPad version of the app for even easier showcasing.

A free iPad version, with limited features is available from here.

We are always excited to see new book creation apps appear on various stores but, quite frankly, nothing comes close in matching Book Creator in its intuitive ease, design and publishing process. We’ve seen Book Creator app being used in various classrooms, with there being a bank of real-life experiences shared on the RedJumper website (In particular, look at how one pupil published her book about Threescoop, which is freely available in iBooks here). The website also offers plenty of tutorials and support should it be needed.

Published by Red Jumper Studio, the app is priced £2.99* for iPad, or £1.50* on Android.
