Recently added to the UKEdChat Apple EduApps page is an amazing, Markdown based, writing app, offering a distraction free interface. Most impressively, within this app, is a great feature that allows the writer to select a word and then look up synonyms, antonyms and phraseology to help the writing process.
One of the best features of writing in traditional word processing programs is the option to press Shift + F7 to bring up the dictionary and thesaurus option, giving the writer a great bank of words to help improve the writing. This has been one feature that has lacked on tablet computing, but WriteRight grants this support with the synonyms, antonyms and phraseology. The app also supports iCloud/Dropbox. The App is also enrolled with Apple in Volume Purchase for educational institutions allowing discounts for your colleagues and pupils.
