–Recently added to our iPad EduApps page is Triomphe, a fantastic app to support students preparing for French exams at GCSE, IB, DELF, and A Level.
Created by a native speaking French teacher, the focus of the app is on pronunciation, the “gender” of nouns, matching adjectives and nouns correctly, plus a really useful Revision folder, so mistakes can be rectified to help improve knowledge. Students are able to track progression with a personal score folder and write in app notes.
The app is filled with a great mix of activities supporting: the alphabet, phonetics, writing rules, and genres and agreements. Pronunciation can be learned by listening and repeating the word/phrase using the iPad microphone which then can be compared to the voice within the app to help improvement (of which I need a lot!)
This is a fantastic app, released at the time of exam season in the UK, so should be of great support to students and teachers who are looking at revising for writing, listening and/or the speaking elements of the tests.
Priced at £4.99*, Triomphe for iPad is available to download from the Apple App Store. Click here to view.
