EduApp: @QuiverVision for Android or iPad

Colouring is a favourite activity for many children, who can lose themselves in the activity for endless hours. On the other hand, we all know those who don’t possess such patience and quickly scribble so they can move to another activity. The rewards of patience can be seen with the magical Quiver (formerly colAR Mix) app for iPad or Android that bring the picture – and your unique colouring in – to life using Augmented Reality Technology.

The app is simply stunning. Once the app is installed, the process is simple enough: Print off the required PDF’s from the QuiverVision Website; colour in your picture; then open the app and point to the picture to see it come to life (Just a word of caution, there are some pages that are free to use within the app, but others require an in-app purchase).

The more detail and attention used in the colouring process, the final result becomes more spectacular, with children (and adults) amazed at the live animation viewed on screen. There are certain images which are a great stimulus for writing, design or creativity. Explore the potential of the app in the series of video sequences (Article continues below):

This app is quite spectacular, and will amaze you and your pupils. Unlocking the in-app upgrades (£1.99*) can be worth-while and are worthy of exploration – especially the dragon/village sheet and the Amazing Animals of New Zealand pack.

Quiver is available FREE* for iPad/iPhone (App doesn’t work on ipod and iphone3, 3S*) or Android. Click on the relevant App Stores below to view:
