EduApp: Pixlr Express

PixlrExpThere are literally hundreds of photo editing apps on all the App Stores and you can find yourself spending money on something that, quite frankly, is disappointing. Recording pupils learning in schools is a great way of sharing evidence, progress, and the work achieved in your classroom.

For basic effects editing, overlays and collages, one of the best apps available for most devices is Pixlr-Express – a free, non-advert app that contains an abundance of professional features that will make the creative editing process quick and simple for teachers and pupils.

Photos can be taken from within the app, or selected from your library, which then allows you to start the editing process. Once loaded, you are then able to get all creative with your image (article continues below):

All adjustments, effects, overlays, borders, stickers and text features are easy to use and adjust. Similarly, the collage option is easy to use (see featured image above). You can save or share your final creation from the options at the top of the screen. All features within the tablet/phone apps are identical to the features which are available from the online version of the app.

Pixlr Express is created by AutoDesk being freely available (click here for online version + also available as a Chrome Extension) from the following app stores:
