OfficeAppleBuilt for the Mac, and tinkered for the iPad, Apple’s suite of Office apps are a perfect complement for the tablet. Once teachers and students are used to where they can find the main features, the apps are intuitive in use, and do not rely on network access for full functionality or saving. The transitions and effects within Keynote make presentations more appealing, whereas the layout and usability of Pages and Numbers do not frustrate when composing a document or spreadsheet.

In our opinion: Apple have designed a beautiful set of useable apps which perfectly compliment the iPad with AutoSaving and speed of the apps perfect for classroom projects.

Pros – These apps are easy to use, flexible and compliment the iPad for creation of easily designed projects. The apps are free (with newer versions of the tablets).

Cons – Only available on the iPad, with a cost for older versions of the tablet.
