We are often awed by looking up at the stars, appreciating the vastness of space and realising how small and insignificant we are in comparison. However, as a species, we have helped feed our curiosity by sending space craft into orbit to explore further, but the vastness of these ships is equally awe-inspiring. A detailed chart by reddit user Heaney555 shows every vehicle and space station in the history of human space flight. The chart was inspired by fellow reddit user firmada who created a similar chart showing the scale of the rockets used in space flight. The primary difference between the charts is the inclusion of space stations and non-rocket vehicles in Heaney555’s chart. If you look closely at the base of each ship, you will see that a person has placed to show how tall these rockets are in comparison.
