Tonight – along with @HecticTeacher – #UKEdChat focused on the subjects PSHE and Citizenship in the latest of our 2014/2015 Subject Specials.
The aim of these sessions is to allow teachers to exchange ideas, resources or challenges that they face teaching these subjects and asked the following questions:
- Should PSHE and Citizenship be taught in combined classes/programmes?
- PSHE/Citizenship collapsed Curriculum Days: Good, bad or ugly? Why?
- Should citizenship be assessed in the same way as other foundation subjects?
- Should PSHE be assessed AT ALL?
- Tutors or dedicated teams: Which is better suited for teaching PSHE and citizenship?
- Who should teach about Digital Citizenship? IT people? Citizenship people? Or all subjects?
