Using media to inspire and motivate pupils

SoundCloud is a free sound sharing site/app that allows audio files to be shared online and added into playlists. Recently the iPad app has been redesigned to not allow direct recording.

However, this can be easily overcome by recording using the iTalk (premium) app which allows you to add recorded files to Dropbox, which can then be uploaded later.When working with my new class during 2 transition days, I showed them the above picture (from Lend Me Your Literacy) to spark discussion. Writing took place during the first day, with editing and recording on the second. Full details of the lesson are on my new class blog.
