The Barnardo’s Big Toddle is the biggest and best under 5s fundraising event in the UK. Every year, thousands of parents, nurseries and public venues organise sponsored walks to raise money for vulnerable children across the country. The Big Toddle is all about children helping children and the money raised from these events helps to transform the lives of children disadvantaged by a wide range of issues including poverty, disability and domestic violence.
The Big Toddle is a fun, rewarding and educational event that’s easy to take part in. Barnardo’s will support you every step of the way and with this year being their 150th anniversary, it is an extra special time to be involved.
Every year, the Big Toddle has a theme and 2016’s is animals. Participants are encouraged to dress up and have some extra fun with costume-making and other animal activities. There are lots of exciting ideas on the Big Toddle website and these activities are educational too, tying in perfectly with the EYFS framework.
