Our latest addition of ideas comes inspired from the video below, created by Westfield School in England, who took inspiration from the Carpool Karaoke made famous by James Cordon. This is a fun activity, that could be included within the transition ready for secondary school, and give pupils ownership by choosing the songs from the first 10/11 years of their lives, sorting out the costumes from the accompanying music video, choosing the clip from the song, and the dance/actions that need to make it a quality production. This idea can easily be done using a smartphone or GoPro device – and editing it all together (including the lip-sync) could be given to the students as part of their digital skills.
