Feature – 11 Activities for after SATs Exams

Get your students exploring what the world was like 100 years ago. What was happening in the world, and how did this impact on the lives of our ancestors. Explore how the local community has changed in that time, and ask older generations to share stories about tales passed down to them about how they lived. If relevant, explore issues and challenges faced during times of conflict. If exploring the First World War, build an absorbing topic based on Terry Deary’s The Silver Hand story (click here for review and resources), that includes opportunities for students to become code makers and breakers, spies, and understanding some of the difficulties of living in the middle of a conflict.
