
Figures released by Ofqual today have revealed that the number of students requesting a review of the marking for the GCSE or A-Level results has dropped to 2.0% in 2016, compared to 2.5% in the previous year.

As shown in their infographic (click here for PDF version), around 15.4 million scripts were generated by approximately 1.9 million candidates during the 7 week summer period. Around 1,800 different GCSE, AS and A level exams were taken and these were marked by approximately 54,000 examiners, leading to 7.7 million certifications.
