Mr Lockett’s Maths Apps

Paint by Maths is an educational and fun game aimed at children who are 6 years old and above. It is based on the Key Stage One national curriculum objectives, with 18 different levels covering 9 different objectives.

Each level has its own timer which records how long it take to complete each level in seconds. This time is then displayed on the main menu underneath each level and the children can play each level again to beat their best time.

The App is very simple so it is easy for children to learn how to play. It is a good way to practise and apply maths knowledge.

The children who trialled the App range from 6 to 9 year olds and their comments were:

“It’s better than Maths!”

“I love doing something different in Maths.”

“It is really fun maths because each level if different.”

“I like trying to beat my sister’s time.”

“The pictures are colourful and I forget that I am doing Maths”
