Session 368: First Week Activities

The first week back at school can be a disruptive time for students and teachers as everyone tries to adjust to new routines, timetables, and educational challenges. Many teachers will be familiar with the old adage of ‘don’t smile ’til Christmas’, but settling students into new classes, working with new peers, and possibly within new settings can stall the process for some.

Following the #UKEdChat online poll, this session will explore activities that can be used with students to help settle into their new school year.

No specific questions will be set during this discussion, as it will be an opportunity to share ideas and resources, spread throughout the 8-9pm session.

So join the chat via the #UKEdChat hashtag on Twitter on Thursday evening from 8 pm to share your favourite ideas and resources.
