Review: Free e-book: The @EdCentral Alternative Student Teacher Manual

A Promoted UKEdChat Review

Embarking on the rewarding career that is teaching can elicit much trepidation, excitement and a strong feeling of being overwhelmed by the challenges ahead. This is often magnified within the role of a student teacher, as your every move is analysed, assessed and scrutinised to ensure you can cope with the unexpected everyday challenges that the role throws your way.

In their free e-book, EdCentral has pieced together an advice manual aimed at student teachers, guiding through the basics and essentials of successfully thriving this intriguing part of training to be a fully signed-off teacher. In two distinct sections, student teachers are encouraged to think about their lifestyle alongside considerations of work. Being organised is fundamental, as it is easy to fall behind with so many demands and pressures but this book reminds individuals to avoid putting too much pressure on yourself.

Rounded off with a handy acronym guide (the education system does love a good acronym!), this guide is a handy little reminder for student teachers to keep themselves grounded whilst learning to become a fully qualified professional. Did we mention that it’s a free PDF download? Handy if you are supporting student teachers, thinking about becoming a teacher, or for those colleagues in the role, who need a kindly reminder to think about their well-being, health, and building relationships.

The @EdCentral Alternative Student-Teacher Manual is a free e-book (pdf) and can easily be downloaded directly by clicking here.

  1. Hello
I am not able to access the e-book from the “click here” on the page. How can I access this book please? I will be an NQT this September and I am sure there are some great advice inside that could be supportive.

    • Am sorry, but it seems like they have withdrawn the PDF 🙁
We will delete this post in the next few days. Thank you for bringing this to our attention
