If you are a power user of Google’s online documents, sheets (spreadsheet), forms, or slides (presentation), then creating a new document is now easier thanks to a couple of browser shortcut codes that allow an immediate start, rather than having to find your Google Drive page.
The full list of domains is:
DOCS: DOC.NEW, DOCS.NEW, DOCUMENTS.NEW
FORMS: FORM.NEW, FORMS.NEW
SHEETS: SHEET.NEW, SHEETS.NEW, SPREADSHEET.NEW
SITES: SITE.NEW, SITES.NEW, WEBSITE.NEW
SLIDES: SLIDES.NEW, DECK.NEW, PRESENTATION.NEW
All of the files created through any of its “.new” domains will automatically be saved to Google Drive, so for educators who regularly create and use Google tools with students, then this can save time, and get pupils working, rather than having to navigate through bookmarks, folders and creating the correct format of document.
In terms of efficiency, this will only save you seconds of navigation time, but when you have a classroom full of students, every second counts.
