Presentation Title:
Einsteinian physics in the classroom – re-evaluating practices in modern physics education
Details:
n recent years, Albert Einstein’s ideas of space, time, and gravity have emerged both as active fields of research and as popular topics in physics classrooms. As teachers and educators, we can choose from an increasing number of modern instructional models to introduce students to Einstein’s ideas. However, we can only unleash the true potential of modern physics in schools if we interlace pedagogical and content-specific perspectives successfully. In this talk, I will reflect on the current practices of teaching physics to offer support and new impetus to the physics teaching community in and beyond the learning domain of modern physics.
Suited for: Secondary & FE teachers.
